Ibiza is a much loved island and there aren't many places on the planet as beautiful and with as many opportunities to have the best time.
The translation of the word Ibiza means 'Isla de Bes' and Bes is the name of the old God of entertainment and eroticism formerly worshiped by the Egyptians.
The island is about 90km from the Spanish peninsula and is the third biggest of the Balearic archipelago.

The fun continues in Ibiza during winter too and you have the great opportunity to discover the island at this time! You'ss see that it's a truly Spanish town that doesn't seem like every summer it's home to multinational parties.
If you ask the people of Ibiza about their favoutite time of the year they'll tell you winter. In winter it's quiter and cleaner. It's the best time to explore the architecture and the countryside. There's time to enjoy the fresh air, the brilliant colour and the mild temperature. This is the time that the habitants of the island relax and recuperate after the summer.

The legends of Ibiza
La Isla Mágica: The ancient Phoenicians believed Ibiza was the magical island, blessed by the Gods. The island has a volcanic origin with no fertile soil (red soil), thanks to which the island has no reptiles, animals, plants or insects that could cause harm to humans. Even now, many people wear pendants made from the sacred land that protect them from problems and misfortunes.
La Isla de Mito: Nostradamus predicted that "Ibiza is the last bastion of life on Earth". According to the predictions of this astrologer and French physicist who lived in the fifteenth century, when a nuclear disaster destroys almost all life on Earth, because of the unique winds, Ibiza will be the only suitable place to live.
La Isla de Es Vedra which rises from the water not far from Cala D'Hort and is uninhabited. The monks who meditate here often mentioned their encounters with supernatural beings surrounded by a blaze of light. Local fishermen tell stories about giant glowing spheres that reach a diameter of 50 meters and leave the sea. This phenomenon is still unexplained.
La Isla del Arte: Ibiza possesses an extraordinary magnetism that attracts creative people. It is no secret that on a small island is lot of global talent is concentrated. All of these people are inspired and get great pleasure from the simple and spiritually enriching lifestyle on the island. On the island you can find inner peace and live in harmony with nature.
