Bioparc Valencia is a new generation zoo park that was created based on the zoo-inmers concept, where the animals (lot of them rescued) live in an enviroment as similar as posible to their own natural habitat.

We're going to the Bioparc in Valencia

LIMITED PLACES

Important (we always have problems):
You are not allowed to bring anny food or drink apart from water in non glass bottles.

Bioparc Valencia is a new generation zoological park which has been created on the basis of zoo-immersion, totally immersing the visitor into the animal habitats.

Zoo-inmersion

The philosophy and technique of this zoological design seek to immerse the visitor in a meticulous recreation of natural habitats. Animals, vegetation and landscape are a combination that invites visitors to discover the complexity of natural ecosystems.

The barriers are hidden give the sensation that the public are actually in the animals space. This zoo immersion is so pure that you feel like it's a natural ecosystem, when in reality it has been recreated.

A piece of Africa in Valencia.

The first part of Bioparc is dedicated to Africa, but this important project will be expanded in the upcoming years to devote part of the park to South East Asia, and another to the Neotropics.

At the moment, we can enjoy the extensive savannah with herds of antelopes, giraffes and rhinos, while the lions dominate the large meadow from their rocky vantage point. We'll discover the life underground, learning about the termites and looking at the aardavarks burrows, warthogs and hyenas.
We'll venture into the dense equatorial forest in search of gorillas, we'll walk with buffaloes and leopards and follow the path of the elephants to a cave excavated by these pachyderms.

The meeting point is at the entrance to Bioparc (But it's crucial to buy your ticket beforehand!)
You can get there by bus, metro or bike (you can look at transport here: www.emtvalencia.es)

We'll go in as a group, but once inside you can go at your own pace and do what you want.
